ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - SeaWorld offered a sneak peek at a new thrill ride that the attraction is about to debut. SeaWorld's Manta roller coaster will reach speeds of almost 60 mph when it opens on Memorial Day weekend.
Tracks and cars for the ride were on display on Wednesday. "It hasn't been done before ... the level of detail and seemless integration," said Brian Morrow, Director of Designer Engineering for the park.
"Manta, Ride the Flying Ray" will be SeaWorld's third thrill ride. The park opened it's first roller coaster/water ride hybrid, "Journey to Atlantis" in 1998 and debuted a full-fledged roller coaster "Kraken" in 2000.
