The SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund has introduced an online auction that will raise money for animal rescue, habitat protection and conservation education. There's a wide array of items, including theme-park-specific ones. Browsing through the site (www.auctionwire.com/savewildlife) I spotted a private photo shoot with Shamu, a Discovery Cove weekend package, admission for two people to the VIP event/grand opening of Manta roller coaster at SeaWorld and a Howl-O-Scream VIP tour over at Busch Gardens Tampa.
The auction lasts throughout April, but I noticed the closing date for some bids is well before that. Beware.
This month, every donation of $100 or more to the fund will be matched by SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks dollar for dollar. The Web site is www.swbg-conservationfund.org. Guests who donate in person at the parks receive an eco-friendly tote bag as a thank-you gift.
