View Full Version : My Plans So Far.....

Ok, here is what I have planned so far. I don't have any of those fancy guidebooks to help me decide which park to go to on which day and which parks have what for crowd attendance guesses so I just wing it. I basically do it myself since DD doesn't know about most of the trip (she knows we are going for 4 nights, has no clue we are staying another 5 night!), DH will come to Disney with us but could care less when we went where, my BIL gave me the answer "tell me where I have to be and when", and my nephew doesn't know about the trip at all and doesn't eat so he won't care about where we eat. We are on the dining plan for both halves of the trip (paying for it the first 4 nights and got free dining for the last 5 nights) Sooooo, on that note, I did it all myself. Any suggestions anyone has would be very helpful (atleast I would know that someone cares).

8/20 Arrival day - Probably Epcot with dinner at LeCellier
8/21 DHS - no Table service (using 2 credits later)
8/22 Animal Kingdom - Donald's Breakfast Safari
8/23 Magic Kingdom - Dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo
8/24 Move to Pop - Probably just do DTD/Mini Golf/Outlets - Dinner at Crystal Palace
8/25 Animal Kingdom - Dinner at Tusker House
8/26 Magic Kingdom - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
8/27 DHS - Dinner at Hollywood & Vine
8/28 Epcot - Dinner at either Garden Grill or Tappen Edo
8/29 Departure day - nothing flights at noon

8/20 Arrival day - Probably Epcot with dinner at LeCellier
Always a good day for Epcot and a great place to eat :)

8/21 DHS - no Table service (using 2 credits later)
Another great choice. Shouldn't be to busy. Make sure you head straight to ToyStory for you Fast Pass

8/22 Animal Kingdom - Donald's Breakfast Safari
Haven't eaten there so Let me know how it is. Also good day for this park. Remember to FP everest and head straight to the Safari

8/23 Magic Kingdom - Dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo
I like this place :) but this would not be my choice of park unless I was going to be there at opening and leave after lunch.

8/24 Move to Pop - Probably just do DTD/Mini Golf/Outlets - Dinner at Crystal Palace
Nice relaxing day

8/25 Animal Kingdom - Dinner at Tusker House
Great park choice. Should be slow. Let me know how dinner was.

8/26 Magic Kingdom - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Always say we are going to do breakfast here but never have. Should be a good MK day.

8/27 DHS - Dinner at Hollywood & Vine
Ate there once. Was not impressed. hopefully it has changed a little. Make sure you hit the animation studio.

8/28 Epcot - Dinner at either Garden Grill or Tappen Edo
We like Garden Grill. It also helps my youngest is a huge Chipa nd Dale Fan. As far as crowds it could go either way.

8/29 Departure day - nothing flights at noon
A sad day but you could squeeze 1 last ride in somewhere. ...I know... I am just saying :)

Thanks for caring! LOL I'm glad someone does. The family members I'm going with could care less! Already told them not to witch if they don't like my choices if they aren't going to put their input in now. Should be getting together with Maryann this week to plan some meals together.

So why would you not go to Magic Kingdom on the 23rd? Too many people go on Sundays? I picked that day because of Spectromagic since it's not every night and the in-laws will be leaving on Monday. I will look again to see if I have any other options.

Just remember to work your FP's and you should be fine. For Spectro I would grab seats either at the train station or in frontierland.

Yes, Fastpasses are my friend.

We aren't like commando type tourers. We just go with the flow. I've never used a crowd calendar or a tourguide to help me pick which days to go to which parks. We just fly by the seat of our pants. When DD and I went in early August of '07, it was more crowded than I have ever seen it since we always went off season. But we made the best of it. We saw what we saw and did tons of stuff even with the crowds. I'm hoping the end of August is a little less crowded, but I won't know until we get there! (unless someone has the crowd calendar subscription thing and can look at their prediction from 8/20 - 8/29 for me?)
