DVC is hosting an event at the World Trade Center in Boston June 18, 19, 20 & 21. It's called Vacation as you Wish. Mickey & Minne will be making an appearance. Giveaways, surprises and an interactive show. From what I understand current DVC members as well as people who have preveously showed interest in DVC were given invites.

Anyone from Cuatwdw going? I'll be at the 4pm show on Sunday

It was reported on the Dis board by someone that attended last night that there are a few freebies such as: binoculars, passport holder & luggage tags, and special DVC Mickey ears. Some entertainment from some CMs. Then of course the sales presentation. I think it leaned heavily towards, BLT, ABD, & RCI. Dance party with Mickey, & Minnie & then I think just pics with Aladdin, Genie, Cinderella & Fairy Godmother. Followed by light refreshments. There was a grand prize trip giveaway also to 1 lucky winner. Not sure if they plan to do this at each presentation. It was basically a trade-in certificate for I think a 7 night RCI trip. Not all resorts though only select ones.

On the incentives (quoting here from another poster):

Here are the other price breaks
It was explained that current price is $112, with a possible $5 pp discount.
It was explained if you're currently financing through DVC, then you can get additional financing - no questions asked! and of course, no closing costs.
EVENT ONLY Discounts:
100 points - $16 per point off - so $96 per point
The next price break was at 160 points, and our notes aren't clear, but I think that might $18 pff per point.
Then 200 points - which is $20 pp off - netting purchase price to $92 pp
320 points (done as 2 160 point contracts so you can split them for you children ) net $90 pp
And for the BIG spenders of 500 points or more - $24 off per point - so $88 per point.

No AKV incentives. Also no models

We'll be heading out in a few hours. Going to Faneuil Hall Market Place for lunch. To the North End for Lobster Tails (OMG Dessert) and at 4 we will hit the show. Hope to see some of you there.

We went and had a great time.

We got leather luggage tags, binoculars, a notebook and mouse ears. A family from NH won the grand prize 1 week exchange. When they announced it they said someone from NH then a long pause ...then the announcement. Boy I was hoping for me...lol

At the dance party there were
Mickey & Minnie
Aladdin & Genie
Cinderella & Fairy Godmother

At the show there were no closing costs and if you had financed with DVC and were current you were approved.

BLT is smaller the Beach Club. Only 295 Villas. Pool Slide is made out of glass blocks. They talked some about adventures of Disney and RCI.

Any questions ask away

I do not think we will see this promotion again. I would expect to see them in Boston another year. Great turnout on all the dates

I worked this event for DVC. They reached out to castmembers at Boston area Disney Stores for help in putting on the event. A great group of people. It was nice to meet the cast and see the "backstage" works when putting on an event such as this. Gotta love the Wish Meister!
