Disney Vacation Club Member Services advisers have begun informing members of a scheduled rehab of the Yacht / Beach Clubs' Stormalong Bay pool complex in early 2009
ccording to DVC reps, the Beach Club Villas' pool will be closed for rehab "January to March 2009." What remains unclear at this time is whether the entire pool will close for that duration, or if the rehab will be completed in phases.
During the last major renovation of Stormalong Bay in 2005, the pool was closed in small sections while the areas not being worked on stayed open. For example, while the pool slide was being rehabbed the lazy river, wading pool and kids pool all remained open to guests. At no time was the entire pool complex completely off limits to resort guests.
Details of this upcoming rehab have not yet been released.
