Holiday shopping

So with the Holidays fast approaching has anyone started to shop or do you wait till Black friday on to get it done?

I usually try to shop a little all year. Like my daughters clothes - I will shop clearance at the of seasons and then for winter clothes, I give them to her for Christmas and summer clothes are for her birthday in February. (example - went to the Limited Too the other day, never shop there regularly, too pricey - they had their summer clearance on sale an additional 50% off. I happened to have a $15 off $40 coupon. I bought some stuff, added it up for original selling price - got $171.50 worth of clothes for $27! :mickeyjump:) I'm all about the clearance sections! DD hates that, but it's the only way she will wear name brands. Ok, getting off topic here.

I try to have most of my shopping done before Thanksgiving for everyone else.

This year I think DD is getting an I Pod Nano. So I may wait until Black Friday to see if there are any good deals. I don't know if it's worth the stress though. I may just pay the $149 and get it sooner.

Gail, I'd just get it now (iPod). I think they might be harder to come by the closer to Christmas we get.


As for me I also try to get some shopping done all year long. I haven't this year b/c of our trip to Disney in December. All *extra* money is going towards that.

Have you checked the refurbished ones from Apple. I have bought 3 from there and they work well. $79 for 4 gig 99 for 8 gig

I'm All Done expect for my DH. Because I work in Retail The company gives me dicounts to other retailers. For example I bought my husband verizon ldg phone for $100. I also get discounts on Disney tickets and all shows around the country. I also do alot of shopping online. On the leap frog web site I want to get my daughter the Tag reading System I got a bundle pack for 78$ which includes the tag pen the carrying case and two books. two buy every thing seperate it would be 95$:ms:

But DH gets his bonus 2nd week of Dec.....so I may not be posting then! LOL
We are a buy now, pay now kind of family:)
