now, everyone knows about the airlines' new fees for checked baggage, snacks and drinks, all of which used to be complimentary. We've run a number of stories about those extra charges, and now Southwest Airlines has posted a helpful chart (http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/pod_chart.html) listing all its competitors' fees. The chart was created by Rick Seaney, who is not affiliated with Southwest. It originally appeared on his blog (http://rickseaney.com/).
Southwest is posting the chart because it shows that the airline doesn't charge nearly as many fees as the other guys. Despite all that's going on in the financial world, it's been a pretty good week (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/travellog/2008/10/forbes_rates_airlines.html#comments) for the discount airline; it was just named most reliable airline by Forbes.com (http://www.forbes.com/forbeslife/travel/2008/09/30/airlines-reliable-ten-forbeslife-cx_rr_0930travel.html) after a study of all major American carriers.

That's why I LUV Southwest. Now if they would only forget when NH school vacation is in February and lower their fares, we'd be all set! LOL :goofy:
