My Trip report

Started the trip off with a bang. Went to the Dr's on Friday 11/21 and found out i had vertigo. not the way I planned to start off my trip :eareek: We flew out on time and landed a few minutes early. headed for the car rental and off tot he World's Largest McDonalds. From there it was off to Caribbean Beach Club. Check in was smooth and i was glad to have my own car. That resort is huge. After unloading the van it was 1030 and time for bed.


Woke up Saturday morning and headed to MK. found the crowds light in the am. Rode Splash BTMRR Haunted Mansion Buzz before heading out to meet the other half of our party that were arriving today.

Once they checked in and everyone had a quick bite to eat it was back to MK. I thought the Castle looked great in lights. We watched Spectro and Wishes and rode Buzz. Then it was off to the hotel for some well deserved sleep.

Sunday morning 8am we all loaded into the van and headed to BCV to check in. I figured we would be heading to Epcot and after lunch maybe a room would be ready. Upon checking in I was ploeasantly surprised that there was a 2bedroom ready. WHOOO HOOO. What a way to start a trip. After getting our keys we headed to the van and moved everything in.

Love your views. Friends of mine stayed there and they could see Spaceship Earth from their room.

We've stayed at Saratoga Springs with views of DTD in the far distance, but never a regular deluxe with views of anything. We stay in cheap hotels in standard rooms with views of parking lots and trees! lol

Can't wait to read more and see more pictures. Keep it coming!

After getting everything to our room it was time to head tot he Storybook Breakfast. WE had 1020 reservations.

On the way there was saw Mary Poppins and had pictures taken then it was time to check in. Took a little while to get called in but well worth it. Once we had our group picture taken with Aurora we headed in. Our waitress was pretty darn good. Food was spectacular. Buffet had cheeses fruits danish. The plattter came with scrambled eggs bacon sausage and cheesy hash browns. Ordered 2nds of the cheesy hash browns. My one complaint was they broke down the buffet before the breakfast crowd was done.

After Breakfast we headed to Soarin, Ellen's Energy, Test Track. I think that was about it before we headed back to the hotel to hit the pool

Sunday night we wandered around the world. We ate in England and had Fish and Chips.

Checked out the Art of Disney. Saw a few things I liked but held off. Still early in the trip and wanted to see everything before I bought anything.

Rode soaring during Illuminations and headed back to BCV. All in all it was a great day. From being able to check in upon arrival right to riding Soarin just before close

Monday I woke up early and checked out the resort for a bit while everyone slept

I headed back to the room. Made breakfast for 8 and we all headed back to Epcot for the day. we went at a slow pace and just enjoyed ourselves. Rode Soarin, Turtle talk with Crush, Nemo, Figment, Test Track. We did just about everything we wanted to. For half of the group ate at China and the other half ate around the world.

Headed back to BCV and took the kids swimming while BIL and SIL stayed in Epcot to finsh checking it out.

Dinner that night was at Tutto's in Italy. I did not bring my camera so I can not post pictures of the food but OMG it was good. The kids had Spaghetti and veal meatballs. My wife, BIL and I had Lasagne. Not sure what my SIL had but everyone agreed their mel was good.

After Dinner we headed to Spaceship Earth. Rode that and while some played with the exhibits my oldeast daughter and I headed back to The Disney Art Store. I broke down and bought a picutre by Larry Dobson of the Castle all decked out in lights. Will post a picutre of it once it is framed. she bought a picture by Larry of the Hitchhiking ghosts and the rest of the group joined us and bought pictures also. Larry was there and signed each one. Rode Soarin and headed back to BCV. Stopped at the gift shop and picked up a couile of sandwiches to eat since we were hungry and called it a night

Tuesday morning came around and again I was up at the crack of dawn. this morning I decided to just stay in and read. Went out to the living room sat in the chair and put my feet on the kids bed :)

Got my self ready, started the java, cooked breakfast and off to Hollywood Studios.

Headed to the boat but we were to late so we figured we would walk it. took us 12-15 minutes and that was with pushing a baby stroller.

Studios was packed today. Half went to get FP's for Toystory mania and we went to ride TOT. OK not my brightest move but more on that after. Wait time for TOT was about 20 minutes and we joked about my vertigo acting up. Yeah like I said not my brightest idea. Rode it and my SIL was scared. I think she scarred my oldest...lol. Held her leg so hard she left marks :D. She had jelly legs and dry mouth when she got off. My daughter nad I were teasing her bad. We headed to the little mermaid watched that show and then headed to the animation show. We love going to the animation show and then drawing. We drew Stitch(I think). About now the room was starting to spin a bit but I ignored it. After it ended I felt drunk walking out of there. I told the wife I needed food and a place to sit. So we headed to the backlot express. It was packed but we found a place and I just wanted to SLEEP. I stayed with my niece while some headed to the bathrooms and others went for the food. All I really remmeber is thinking how nice it would be if the kid screaming would shut up and this darn room would stop spinning. i ate and told the wife I was headed back to take some meds and a nap.my youngest DD and my oldest niece came with me to take naps also.

Walking back to along the path from Studios to BCV we had a kid behind us the whole way screaming. I swear if I was not in my Disney mode(meaning I act like a normal person instead of a grump) I would of thrown the kid into the canel to shut him up. But alas I could only do that in my dreams :)

Seemed to take forever to get to my room but once there I told the kids they better nap and I went popped my pill and went to bed.

Woke up feeling refreshed and not dizzy about 3 hours later. Note to self don't do anything else stupid this trip.

Found out everyone else made it back and was getting ready for dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse. Headed to Epcot and strolled our way over to Canada. we were so looking forward to eating here. For the last 3 years it has been our favorite

Our waiter was good and the Food well not so good. In fact I think we may cross this one off our list for a bit. I will say the creme brulee was good.

after Dinner we slowly walked around the world towards BCV. About halway back Illuminations started so we stopped and watched them. A good fireworks show but I still like Wishes 110% better.

Today was an early morning. We packed up the place and headed to the van. Off to SSR for the rest of our stay. Dw, SIL and kids headed to MK while BIL and I headed to SSR in the van to check in. Having never driven around down there I foulnd it pretty easy. About 15 minutes later we were at the guard shack being Welcomed Home which by the way I never heard at BCV but at BCV the GM did call 2 times to thank us for staying there.

Again at 8 am I did not think we would have a room but low and behold lightening stuck twice. 1st floor room ready in the Carousel area. I had requested to be near the Hospitality house but again I was excited to have a room. BIL and I found the room and unpacked the van. About that time Bell Services called and said my owners locker was there and I thanked them and said I would get it later with the groceries.

Bus stop is right across the street from our room so we headed there to catch the bus to MK. Called the girls and let them know we had a room and were on our way.

They were getting pictures and autographs done with Ariel, rode the carousel and did something else by the time we caught up with them.

We rode Splash Mtn which was a really big deal since 1 of my nieces does not like roller coasters. She took to splash like a duck in water. We were proud of her. She also attempted BTMRR. Not 1 of her favorite rides but again we were happy she tried it and did not get sick :) which was an awesome bonus.

We had lunch at Columbia Harbour House which was good.

After Lunch we hit Buzz and headed to the hotel for a swim. The women headed to DTD.

Today was AK day. It was also Thanksgiving which was a sad day for me. 1 year ago on Thanksgiving my dad died. I woke up early and went for a walk around the resort.

Came back and rushed everyone out so we could get there for opening. That didn't work out to well. 28 minutes late. Oh well maybe next time.

I took my oldest DD and heded to EE to get fast passes and told everyone else to head to the safari and we would meet them. We ended up getting there 1st. Grumpy was starting to get grumpy. After waiting for another 10 minutes everyone was finally there and it was pretty much walk on.

We had lunch at Flame Tree which was very good. The girls rode everest and we then headed back to get ready for dinner.

Thanksgiving Dinner was at Chef Mickey's and what a hoot it was. Everyone had a blast. Dinner was so so. I do not think there is an outstanding place to eat Thanksgiving dinner. If I was to do it over I probably would of ordered a dinner from Publix and reheated it but anyways

The character interaction was AWESOME!!. Mickey rolled up his sleves and wanted to kick my rear end cause I was hitting on Minnie. Donald and Goofy were raising cane with us. Pluto was up to his old tricks :).
