Over here we had a few inches of snow some ice and a whole lot of slush. The trees still are covered in ice. We lost few trees but still have power which is better then some of our friends that are still without.
Hopefully you all are OK.

We weren't so lucky. We've been powerless since about midnight on Thursday night. We just got cable back a little while ago. We still have NO POWER! We are running off a generator. We have heat, water, and are able to cook, so we are ok. Our neighbors from down the street have been staying with us since Friday since they have no generator, which means no heat. The kids haven't been in school since Thursday. Hopefully they will be going tomorrow. The trucks are at the end of the street, which is almost a mile, but hopefully, that is a good sign. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hope everything goes well. Least you didn't loose anything. I have been hearing horror stories all day long.

No, we were lucky in that sense. No damage. We started the generator on Friday afternoon, so we have the fridge, heat, water (we have a well) and can cook. We had a couple of small branches down in the yard and that was it.
We lost cable about a half hour after we got it back. So we are back to no cable either. I'm at work. Haillie went to school today so that's good. So hopefully things will be getting back to normal soon. No idea when we will get power, not a big deal as long as it's before Christmas. :eareek:

Shush you! LOL Snowing right now. Only about an inch out there right now. Hopefully it will turn to rain and go bye bye.
So far no accumulation totals yet for Friday and Sunday. Maybe it will be a southern storm and we will luck out - doubt it but I can be hopeful.

Tom - is that out of the norm for where you live? It would be unusual for us in Denver, but not for the mountains.

yeah. We get alot of snow showers but this is Crazy. Last year we missed breaking the record by 1 1/2 inches. From the looks of things we could have another shot at it. We usually do not get 3 major storms within days of each other and now they are calling for another on Christmas Eve.

We were doing so well the month of December. We were hoping for snow but not a ton so the Christmas lights would come down easy. Looks like that's not going to happen! Predicting 6-10 here for Friday. Although they are showing the heavy stuff way south of here and only calling for light snow during the day, so maybe we will be on the smaller number side. I haven't heard any numbers for Sunday yet. And I hadn't heard storm for Christmas Eve either! :eareek: Oiy! Whose idea was it to stay in New England?? LOL

Sounds like you will have a white Christmas then!
It almost never snows or has snow cover for us in Denver on Christmas.

Ok, I'm officially sick of snow. It's been snowing almost non stop since Friday. We've probably got about 12-16 inches here already, and will probably get like 6 more before it's over. But on a good note, they are predicting rain for Christmas Eve.

ummm... so call me naive -- why would you want RAIN on Christmas Eve. Won't that just freeze over night and make travel more dangerous? (plus not look as pretty/Christmasy?)

Nope, rain means it's warm out, not cold. No ice predicted. Plus the rain and warm weather will eat up some of the snow. Supposed to be in the 40's near 50 for Christmas. Then rain again on Friday/Saturday which means more snow eating. We have to take down 120,000 Christmas lights that are currently under 18 inches of snow. Everyne, do a rain dance to get rid of it before we have to dismantle it!

Ahhh... see now I just figured that meant a nice (not freezing) day, but that it would still freeze over at night.
