My October Trip Report Day 1

First I just got in last night and have not uploaded my photos yet. I will get that done tomorrow.


At 10:30 Oct 8th 6 of us left for Worcester Airport. We arrived at 1:45 for a 2:30 flight. We just got through security when they announced our flight would not be leaving till 3:30 due to the weather in Sanford. Once we finally left and arrived in Sanford it was close to 7pm. We were meeting our other family members who flew in from New Mexico at Boma's for a 7pm dinner. Needless to say we were late. (luckily my BIL checked us in to BCV and we had our room key with the dining on it)

Once at Boma's we said hello to the rest of the family and we were seated promptly. Great Food! This is one of my favorite places to eat. The short ribs are outstanding.

After dinner it was off to Walmart for groceries and then onto BCV RM 441 to put our food away and to sleep. Long day ....it was after midnight when we all crawled into bed for a 7am wake up call.

*** Walmart is only 12 minutes from BCV. It was clean , nice prices and a nice collection of Disney T-shirts***

Day 2
Woke up at 6 am. It was pouring out. Decided against going to MK and did DHS instead. Walked from BCV to beach club for the 9am opening.

We headed straight to TSM grabbed fastpasses and then over to Star Tours. Loved Star Tours. there are 54 possible missions. We rode this 2 times in a row. Different each time. The 3D was spectacular. We rode TSM, went to animation studios,Muppets 3D and of course hit the shops.

By the time we left to go back and swim it looked like this out.

No. It was from a friend who works there that knew we were coming in. It was a "surprise" but I was told to be on the look out for it. I just didn't tell anyone else :)

Epcot Day.

Whoo Hooo!! 1 of the main reasons I love going in Oct. F&W Baby. Love it, love it LOVE IT!!!!

We stopped in Canada for some Cheddar Cheese Soup then off to England for Fish and Chips.

After Lunch my Uncle and I headed to Sweets by Holly

She has the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. About a 30 min drive from BCV but worth it. We picked up 4 dozen cupcakes(forgot to take pictures) and brought them back to the Hotel while the rest of them hit a few countries and went swimming.

That evening we went to Italy for dinner. We all pretty much had lasagne. But here are a few pictures of dessert

After dinner we hit a few countries and some of us went back to the villa and others stayed for illuminations.

This was the day my eldest turned sweet 16. I woke up my clan at 0 dark thirty. I kid you not. I booked surf lessons at Typhoon Lagoon.

We ate lunch at Wolfgangs and then headed back to hit the pool.

Tonight was the big night. We had dinner at Ohana's. My daughter thought the cupcakes were in place of her cake....Little did she know a huge surprise was in store for her.

Many people gathered around our table to take pictures of this cake. In fact at the DVC show the next day I had a couple show me the pictures they took of it.

I must say everyone that works at O'hanas did an awesome job at not spilling the beans about the cake.

Epcot Day. Like I said before I love the F&W. Today was the Princess Breakfast in Norway before the park opened.

Spent the day walking around the countries and in the afternoon went swimming. Had dinner in England.

Thursday Morning the alarm went off and shortly after so did we. Off to AK for a relaxing day...ok 1/2 day but still relaxing.

We arrived shortly before rope drop. Different rope drop then normal. Usually they do it in front of tree of Life(at least that's how it was in the past for us) This time it was close tot he front of the park. My eldest DD and I went towards Everest to grab some FP's and the rest of the grop headed to the Safari where I thought we were meeting up. We got our FP's and ended up meeting my wife and other DD for the safari. The rest had already left to get on it. While walking down to the trucks we were stopped by a CM and asked how many were in our party. We told him 4 and he said follow me. We rode in the trucks that I am assuming is for people with disabilities. Which we thought was great. It seemed a little slower and they took more time for us to take pictures.

I refuse to go on Kali River Rapids because I KNOW for a fact that I would be the one that got SOAKED! Hate being soggy so I avoid this one at all costs. Glad to hear you were spared on this ride.

We arrived at 430 and headed to The Crystal Palace for dinner. We waited about 15 minutes and then we were seated.

After we ate we headed to Pirates and then to Splash. No lines WHOO HOOO or so thought.

Rode 1 times without any problems. The CM asked if we wanted to go again. We said sure. Might as well knock a few rides out early..let the kids get their fill of splash and head to BTMRR. yeah ...that didn't work out so well. We got stuck on Splash for about an hour. The only good thing I can say about the experience was at least we had a view of the castle where we got stuck. We ended up walking down through the mountain and I ended up twisting my knee (more on that in a minute). As we got out of the mountain they handed everyone a bag full of candy. We headed to BTMRR rode that about 5 times and headed to the Haunted Mansion. From there we headed towards the other side of the park but it was blocked since they were setting up for Hallowishes. Part of our party headed to It's a small world and my daughter and I headed to Main St to see the fireworks.

That's when my problems kicked in. Remeber I said I twisted my knee. Well by the time I go in front of the castle I could barely walk so I picked a spot and sat on the green fence. I texted my wife and told her to meet me on main st because I did not know if I would be able to meet them. The fireworks were awesome and we met up with everyone on the tomorrowland side of main st. I grabbed a spot for the parade and they went on Buzz and Space.

After the parade I gimped my way to the bus stop and took about 8 advil. got back to BCV and headed to bed after taking some more advil. I prayed my leg felt better for our last day. I can tell you that the bed sheets caused my leg to throb.

Our last full day since we all leave Sat am. Some at 630 and the rest of us @ 8.

Woke up at 5 and hit the hot tub. My knee was feeling pretty good. After soaking in the hot tub and popping some more advil we were ready to hit MK at Rope Drop.

We did a few of our favorites along with a few the kids do not like but we do...ie...Hall of Presidents. My knee was feeling pretty good.

I decided to head back @ 2 with my wife's aunt and uncle while the rest of the clan shopped. This is where once again I did something stupid. I forgot my wife had my key card so I decided to jog from the Town Hall to the first shop. I made it there and gimped to the bus stop. I have never felt such a burning pain in my life.

Once back at the villas I popped some more advil and hit the hot tub.

We had dinner at Chef De France and watched Illumination. We slowly walked back to BCV and called it a night. Another trip done. Looking forward to April 2012 and possibly Thanksgiving 2012.
