In another sign that Orlando’s theme parks are worried about a weak summer, SeaWorld Orlando today extended its hotel-and-ticket discount package until after Labor Day.

Under the deal, which was launched in late January, guests who book three nights in any of nearly two-dozen nearby hotels get two extra nights free — plus unlimited admission for the week to SeaWorld and either its sister water park, Aquatica, or Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

SeaWorld’s offer was initially good only for travel through June 26. Now, however, it will run through Sept. 7.

SeaWorld joins the other big theme parks in extending, similar promotions through the summer, which is typically the busiest time of year for travel to Orlando.

Earlier this month, for instance, Walt Disney World pushed back the end of its buy-four-get-three offer from June 27 until Aug. 15. Universal’s buy-three-get-two deal now runs through Oct. 8.
