    Question Concierge questions

Hi, we will be at the Yacht Club concierge in November, we have never stayed concierge so any info about this would be welcome. Who do you tip, or do you tip? CM's in the lounge? Cm's at the desk? We would like to book a tour that is for concierge only I think, at AK, any info on this?

Default Here is what I have found

The Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World offer 'concierge' service. These are basically higher priced standard rooms with access to a private lounge where snacks are served throughout the day. Cast Members are usually on hand in teh concierge lounges to offer guests help with vacation planning, and making priority seating arrangements for you. Sometimes (this is by no way guaranteed), they may be able to secure you a priority seating reservation at a restaurant/character meal that is 'booked up'.

The concierge rooms are only accessible by room key, so that guests not staying in a concierge room can't get into the concierge lounge. Soom may be on a separate floor, some in a separate building.

Concierge service includes personalized front desk and guest services, robes, turndown service, and lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, and evening cordials and dessert.

    Yatch Club's Lounge

    Regatta Club

Located on the 5th floor of the Main Building

    Open 7:00am till 10:00pm

Note that the lounges do serve coffee starting at 6:30am

    Concierge Schedule:

7:00am - 10:00pm: Beverages and whole fresh fruit available throughout the day

7:00am - 10:30am: Pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, beverages

    11:30am - 4:00pm: Chips, cookies, beverages

    thanks Grumpy
This is what I was looking for, we will be coming off the Magic to spend 4 days at the YC concierge and really don't think we will need big meals at the restaurants, so the food at the CL looks like it might be almost enough for us. I am getting very excited about planning this trip
Do you know anything about the Wildlife tour for Concierge only?

Guests staying on the concierge level at a Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort can take advantage of a unique tour called Wildlife Discovery Excursions. An animal expert will accompany you in a specialy designed climate controlled vehicle for a one hour journey into the 110 acre savannah at Disney's Animal Kingdom. (Tours began February 2005).

This tour is very educational and full of information regarding Disney's animal programs. You stop at pre-selected locations in the savannah for photo oportunities. The tour is held rain or shine (unless the weather is severe). During our tour it rained quite heavily at times, however the animals were out all over the savannah.

Small groups (14 maximum) head out for this adventure twice a day at a cost of $45 each. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund. Advance reservations are required. Contact your concierge or resort itinerary planner at your deluxe Disney resort.
