The Disney Wonder cruise ship will host the world premiere for a new Disney Channel television show when it sets sail later this week from Port Canaveral on a three-night Caribbean voyage.
The 2,800-passenger ship will host the premiere of "The Suite Life on Deck," a spin-off of Disney's popular "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." Disney says passengers on the Aug. 28-31 sailing of the Wonder will experience a "Hollywood-style, red-carpet" arrival of some of the show's stars, a sneak peak at the first episode and a question-and-answer session with cast members. All of the events will take place on Aug. 29, at the ship's "Goofy Pool."
“The popularity of Disney Channel shows and stars are at an all-time high,” Disney Cruise Line President Tom McAlpin said in a prepared statement. “We’re pleased to partner with Disney Channel for this world-premiere event and share some of the red-carpet excitement with our guests, showcasing that Disney difference only Disney Cruise Line can offer.”
