Some of our readers are complaining about an apparent policy change regarding window and room decorations placed by guests during their stay. Apparently the policy has the guests being assessed a fee for decorating their room windows. As a number of our readers enjoy decorating their rooms, especially for the Halloween and Christmas seasons, this is causing some consternation.
I hope its not true! I loved decorating our window at POP....!
WTH?!
It's not like the images leave residue on the windows. I would totally fight any such charges. If such information is not presented to me when I check in, it is not an allowable charge.
Maybe some people are using things that ARE staining the windows? Or not cleaning up their things before they leave?
I'll try to remember to post here what I find out when I am there next month.
Thanks!
I did see a photo of the window that was in question of being fined $25....the guest had used some type of window marker.....and wrote all over the window.
TravelinGal...your creation is art......that wasnt!
However, it was never confirmed if the guest actually was spoken to by management, jsut a message left in their room (phone).
So this could be rumor, unless Disney releases an official statement.
