How to control yourself in the Gift Shops.

My parents went about ten years ago and said they felt like they were in "one big gift shop". I just go done watching the Disney Planning Video (the one that WDW sends for free) and I couldn't help but notice that there were a lot of gift shops. My question is ......as a first timer how do you budget or control yourself in the stores. Everything is going to be really neat! Do they offer a lot of the same things in each store or are most gift shops different from each other. For example does one store offer more Toy Story stuff than the others. Hope that makes sense.

Most of the gift shops have the same things. I also know I can buy most of the stuff online and cheaper(usually). I do let myself buy a few pins.

My kids usually wait to towards the end of the trip and then buy so they can see what everyone has to offer.
