URGH, the MIL strikes again

We have a trip planned for December and she, FIL, BIL and SIL are joining us.

Great news MIL has a 40% room rate Pin Code attached to her name, we have a 20%.

This was all planned since Feb. and I have done all the planning. First it was "Michelle just pick and do what you want and add us all in on it." When I do that, keeping in mind finances, I get all heck and need to pretty much revamp all my plans. Do that and get the deposits done. Two months later it's yet again a problem, I have to change their dates. Which I haven't b/c it's easier to take dates away then to add and knowing them (all 4 of the IL's) they'll again change their minds.

Anyway, fast forward to yesterday, I call asking how she is doing. She has had some medical problems but is on the mend. Now she is thinking of not going at all. That will mean no pin code for us. Which she knows b/c of her wanting to change the dates in the first place, we let her know that then we would all lose out on the great rate. I know this is her way of controlling or trip.

I knew the moment the words left my mouth way back in Feb that it was a HUGE bad idea to invite them along.

I wish it wasn't booked sold for the week after our trip (FREE dining) or I'd change. But I can't.

Which was brought to my attention that it will now be PACKED while we are there, I loved going this time of year for the low crowds.

I know this sounds selfish, but I should have totally expected this from her.

Oh, I love out law stories! lol

I had some issues with SIL this past June...they cancelled out of a grand gathering which cost us loads more money with airfare caused we booked a group
Well, keep us (me) posted....its always good to get some feedback and vent to non relatives.

Well she has canceled. URGH. There are no codes or discounts we can use. I'm not sure what to do now. I think we'll have to cut our trip in half.

The worst part is that we've been planning this trip since FEBRUARY. There is just NO way we can't go. I should have never invited them in the first place. I'll know better for next time.

Not sure what BIL/SIL will do. They are already paid in full and this will add a good amount to them as well.
