Default Hey there Hi there Ho there!

Hi everyone! I'm Robin. I'm honored to be a part of this board and to be asked to be a mod.

It will be nice to have a place to post that doesn't edit out stupid words all the time! (Just posted on another Disney board and, when asking about car rentals, the word "quicksilver" was *****"d out. Insane!)

I'm currently planning my 16th trip 'home'. Our trip will coincide with DS's 4th birthday and will be his 3rd time to WDW.

I am primarily a stay at home mom, but I dabble in the travel industry as well. I worked as a TA in an office for 10 years before DS was born. Now I just book a few things for friends and myself.

I enjoy tinkering around on my computer creating images to transfer onto t-shirts. I happily share images anytime someone asks. (LINK to images here).
I also use my design program to do some digital scrap-booking.
Once in a while I get a wild urge to sew, but that's pretty hard with an inquisitive toddler hanging around.

Well, that's me in a nutshell.

I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all!

    !
Welcome and now you know why we started this place. I do understand the need to censor certain words but it borders on insanity over there.

You are a great asset to our little group and thanks for the T-shirt help last year

    Hi,

What programs do you use for scrapbooking? I've been thinking about trying that, I'm not terribly crafty but would like to do something with the pictures all over the house. We've had a few shutterfly books done and now I think I'm ready to move in to trying to do one myself (uploading it).

    Thanks.
    Gina

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. If you go to the Adobe website, you can download a free trial of the program to see if you like it.

I had Paint Shop Pro before and hated it. It was hard to work with layers etc - and you defiantly need to be able to manipulate layers when you're scrapbooking!

Anyway - once you download the program, there are lots of free tutorials out there - just do a web search for "photoshop elements 4.0 tutorials" (of course, using appropriate program name/edition)

    HTH!

Good luck on the Mom's Panel Diana!

I haven't stayed at any of the villa resorts yet. Sorry I'm of no help there. (But OKW is my favorite from what I've seen. I just love the more homelike feel of the floorplans there. Being a TA, I've had the advantage of seeing many of the rooms, even if I haven't stayed there.)

...I was really trying to see if they would allow that road at OKW to be typed...another site always blocks the first part out! LOL

Anyway, we just stayed in a 2 bdr there in June..HUGE! I can tell you, we saved lots of money with our grocery order and eating in as opposed to ADR's every day!
